May Inspiration Board

Saturday, 9 May 2015

This month is full of assignments and tons of uni related things, but after all the hard work is over I get to look forward to my winter holidays, and that excites me. There have been a few things that have been influencing me over the past week and I thought I would share them with you.

With the winter looming over me on this side of the world I have been inspired by lots of wintery clothes and also my need for wanderlust and adventure has me dreaming of an escape.

So here are six things that are inspiring me at the moment.

- Shoe Love: Jeffrey Campbell for Free people Joe Lace Up Boots, I have been in love with these boots for a while now and with winter coming they are the perfect style.
- Dreaming of Adventure: My mind has been dreaming of travel and one place I really want to visit is Denmark.
- Winter Warmer: This Sorted Food version of moussaka uses my favourite food, sweet potato and looks incredible
- Mint colours: Mint green is a current colour obsession of mine.
- Autumn Colours: The best thing about this time of year is the colours of the trees and they are some of the most beautiful colours around.
- Knitted Love: This Shaggy Knit Pullover by Free People is perfect for the winter ahead and the plum colour is so lovely, I just want to snuggle up in it.

What are some things that are inspiring you this month?

Art Museums and Best Friends

Tuesday, 16 July 2013

Hey guys,
so I finally got my computer working properly and can post some things that I have wanted to for a while. My computer was being stubborn and wasn't letting me upload any photos I have taken over the past three months so here goes.

At the end of June my lovely best friend returned from Uni, for her holidays, with a list of things she wanted to do. So we set off one day into the Sydney city to see what we could do.

Sadly the weather was a bit terrible, so we couldn't do much outside, beside get soaked. So we headed towards MCA(the museum of contemporary art) in Sydney's Circular Quay.

Anybody who knows me well enough, knows that you practically have to pull me, by my hair, into any establishment that contains art in Sydney. That's not to say that I wouldn't go to galleries elsewhere. But MCA is very different and slightly more exciting. The one plus side for me.

These were by far my favourite pieces. But the piece below was possibly the coolest thing I saw. Just according to me though.

It's called the Automated Colour Field by Rebecca Baumann (2011).
It is a collection of clocks, which have coloured pieces attached to them. with each tick of the clock and couple of the colours change creating this awesome effect of a wall of colour.
This had me standing there listening to it for a few minutes. It sort of sounded like the crocodile out of Peter Pan.

Pieces of colour and lights and mirrors. All shining brightly. Please note that I took these whilst I was there.

Here is also a shameless selfie.

If you want to check out the other cool pieces they have to offer just go to

After that we had lunch at our most visited restaurant and drank loads of Starbucks.

Beside coming home drenched and tired is was all around an entertaining day.
