Swamped.

Sunday 30 March 2014

Hey guys,
Today post comes to you in the midst of my own procrastination. I have been staring at my computer for hours, trying to attempt finishing the reading I need to do and to do the ever growing pile of Uni work.
But my brain has wondered, and is getting a little bit bored with reading and doing work. So I thought I would post.

I currently have a list of running things I need to do and it never seems to go down. Things keep getting added, but by the time they have been completed, several other things have been added in it's place. It's virtually an endless list of things.
I will say that I am not to far behind on my work, which is a pleasant surprise to me, as I always felt like I was behind at high school, that and I was too lazy, but so far I haven't left anything to the last minute. So that's a plus.

I also constantly find myself staring out of my window, at nothing in particular, just so that I don't have to concentrate on any work. Plus it was sunny for most of the day, so that didn't help. Or eating, for some reason eating seems to take my attention a lot.
I can't quite comprehend how people who are doing sciencey subject manage, when I am slightly struggling keeping up with a Creative Arts subject. Don't assume we don't do any work outside of class, we do plenty.

I have also found myself consuming four time more coffee and peppermint tea than usual, just to help me along with my studies. The coffee hit certainly doesn't help with the procrastination, it just makes me get bored faster. But it helps a little.

So thats all for now, I should probably get back to reading the large pile of texts that I need to read for week 3 and 4, which I haven't finished and haven't started.

March matters.

Thursday 20 March 2014

Hey guys,
Sorry it's been a while, things have been a bit crazy and I haven't had much time to just sit down and write anything other than school work. But I am taking this time now to do some house keeping for March. I have a few ideas and things that I hope to blog this month. So I am going to try harder.

1. Blog more
At the beginning of the year I promised myself that I would blog more and that hasn't quite happened yet, so now is as good as anytime to fix that. I plan on blogging a tone more from here on out, no matter what it is about.

2. Notice the ground you walk on
This month I will have been taking a photo everyday of the ground beneath my feet. This was a little challenge I set myself, so at the end of this month I will be making a post with all of those pictures. So that should be 31 days worth of pictures. I would like to do something like this every month, I will just have to figure out a topic every month.

3. Adventure more
I haven't really had a chance top do much wondering since moving here, so I hope that I get that chance soon. When that happens I hope to share it with you guys.

4. Work hard
I never had a good ethic towards learning at high school, so I hope to change that here. I haven't let myself slip behind just yet, So heres hoping that doesn't change. I plan on working my butt off through the next three years of my study. So fingers crossed.

5. Be healthy
Here's another thing I have never been particularly good at, so I plan on changing that.

6. Say yes
This ties in with the adventure more rule. I usually say no to a lot of things, it's just the way I have always been, but the time has come to change that. I am going to push myself into say yes to more things. So I get the chance to experience more things.

So there are a few goals I hope to work towards this month/year.

Moving in and week one.

Sunday 2 March 2014

Hey guys,
So this last week has been crazy. I moved into my dorm rooms, shopped a bunch from basic things I need, partied a little bit too hard and went through tons of first year torture. I have honestly never been so tired in my life, but at the same time it has been an amazing week, and its only just starting.

I still have to get used to the constant weather changes and the lack of tones of noise right outside my window, as well as spending way more money than I would like. But these things I guess are just a normal thing during Uni life.

Living with a bunch of new people has also been a change, and its sort of nice living in a new place with new people. That's one thing that I have enjoyed most about this week, getting to meet new people and getting to know others that I wouldn't have met otherwise. Its a nice change from being at home all the time.
Melbourne is also being amazing, minus the sudden weather changes. Its so different from what I am used to, and its a nice change.

Thats all for today.
