Enjoy the small things.

Friday 27 June 2014

Hey guys,
So relaxation is a big thing for me whilst I am on holidays and being able to do the things I would be able to do whilst at Uni is really nice. I have been lucky enough to get some warmth and sunshine in winter in Sydney and I plan on taking advantage of every second of it.

Take a couple of minutes out of your day to enjoy the small things.

Hope those of you that are currently on holidays or vacations are enjoying them to their fullest.

Winter beach trip.

Thursday 26 June 2014

Hey guys,

So being home has been great, I have gotten some much needed relaxation done and have caught up with a few friends I haven't seen in a while.

Two of my friends and I have a tradition of sorts of going to the beach together, no matter the weather. So we managed to get together and do so.

Manly beach is by far my favourite beach in Sydney. Lots of people ask me about Bondi, but I personally prefer Manly. It's not as busy and I feel that it is nicer, so whenever I get the chance I try and go.

Whist the weather was a bit crazy. With it raining one minute and then sunny the next, it was sort of the perfect day to go to the beach. Admittedly we didn't swim, it was too cold for that, we did still enjoy the sand and being in a place that we enjoy visiting.

Yes that's a double rainbow.

It's a fun trip getting to manly, because you get to ride the ferry to get there, a rare occurrence when you live in the middle of the city and nowhere near any ferry docks in both Melbourne and in Sydney.

Even though the day started with rain, Sydney did end up putting on a good weather show, even if it didn't last all day. Beaches are a place that I love going to, so being back home for a while and so close to one was an absolute joy. And the company wasn't bad either.

Going home.

Tuesday 17 June 2014

Hey guys,
So I am officially on my mid year from Uni and its nice to be home. I get to relax for five weeks in Sydney. And I couldn't be more excited.

Mainly I get to see my gorgeous dog Joey for the first time in months, but also I get to be at home with my family and friends from Sydney and don't have to rush to fit everyone in my schedule of a week, since I will be here for 5 of them.

I got the pleasure of meeting my best friends new dog, who is absolutely adorable.

Home is most certainly where the heart is.

Prove them wrong.

Tuesday 10 June 2014

Hey guys,
So recently I have been thinking about all the people who have told me in the past that I can't do the certain things that I want to do in my life. When I have my low days, the voices of these people seem to creep back in and play with my insecurities and make me question my life choices.

I have never really know how to block these voices out and how to think positively when they become the main track of thought in my mind.

But I have started to come to the conclusion that these people don't matter and that I shouldn't be listening or remembering those words that have tried to shut down my dreams and goals for myself. It does become difficult when there are people around you that don't believe in you. It can be very draining and you start to question everything.

It's time to start proving them wrong. If someone tells you you can't show them that you can. Fight for what you believe in and fight for your dreams. They don't control you or your dreams so prove to them that you can do it. That you can make it.

The people that have told me that I can't do what I want to do with my life have, in the past, made me feel like crap. Have made me want to give up. To stop trying. But proving them wrong is so much more powerful, it's your greatest weapon against them.

I plan on proving them wrong and fighting them every step of the way. And one day they will realise that I am much stronger than they thought I was.

I want you to join me. If anyone has ever put you down and told you you can't do something, work towards proving them wrong. If you try hard enough you can make your dreams come true, no matter what anyone else says.

May Rewind 2014.

Monday 9 June 2014

Hey guys,
So I thought I would do one of these monthly rewind things where I put a bunch of photos in about the highlights of the month past. So here are my May standout moments.

Side note: now that I am on holidays and have finished all my assignments for the semester I will be able to blog more. Things got crazy at the end of may as I had a huge pile of things to do for uni, but now I have a break for 5 weeks so I can concentrate on other things for a while.
