May inspiration board.

Saturday, 7 May 2016

Welcome to the small list of things that are making me happy and inspired in the month of May

1. Study and hard work. I have a ton of uni work to do, and working hard towards finishing my final year of uni is in full swing.
2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I was practically brought up on Star Wars and so the recent release of the newest one has me pumped for what is to come.
3. Polka dots. I just have something for this pattern at the moment.
4. Outdoor adventures. All the hard work and studying has made me crave being outdoors and exploring.
5. Getting cosy with tea. With the winter months coming up, I'm all too ready to snuggle up and get comfy.
6. Sweater weather. Once again winter is headed my way and I can't wait to pull out all my knitted sweaters and wear them 24/7.

September Update 2014.

Thursday, 11 September 2014

Hey guys,
So September marks the last full month of my first year of university, which is super exciting. It also means that it is officially spring in Australia, although I think someone should tell Melbourne that because it's still super cold here somedays. And it also means that soon it will be summer, which I can't wait for. So I thought I would just do a few small updates on things.

1. Things will be getting busy for me over the next few months as I have 7 assignments left to finish off before I can truly be on holidays. Which is not something I will be looking forward to doing. I hate assignments.

2. With my soon to be found freedom in fourish weeks time I will be able to get out more and do some fun and adventurous things around Melbourne, which I haven't been able to do yet. Which I plan to post about when I can.

3. I plan on introducing a few new blog series on here. Which will hopefully start in October and will include things like my monthly favourites and maybe a monthly book club or something, in which I share my favourite things and books or whatever. I will also be continuing the 50 faces project when I get home to Sydney in November.

4. More free time means more adventures and blog posts, so once all my work is finished for the year I should hopefully be blogging a bit more.

5. Summers coming up so I hope to have some fun adventures plan to share with you guys. I just need to figure out what they will be.

6. October will also be a month of relaxation for me as once my assignments are finished I will need a little bit of down time to relax and chill out a bit so that should be fun.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day,
xx Kat

Nature is good.

Saturday, 30 August 2014

Hey guys,

I'm really writing this post as a way of procrastinating my way around doing three assignments for uni at the moment. Considering I will do anything to avoid working on them for a few hours.

The weather has started to get warmer in Melbourne even though it's still technically winter, but I'm not going to complain, I love warm weather, almost as much as I love winter(yes I'm one of those people). And with the sun being out it means that I have been able to take my procrastination outdoors and into the fine nature that surrounds me.

So I thought I would share some of the awesome nature that is around me.

Look at that mighty fine blue sky.

The weather was on point today.

This burst of warm weather has me really excited for summer, I can't wait for it.

Now I should get back to work, not that I want to.

Family beach trip.

Monday, 18 August 2014

Hey guys,
So I got a little break recently and got to spend a bit of time with my family, on a small holiday. Which was actually quite great, it was a much needed break before the craziness of my second semester and its assignments hit.

My aunt lives by the beach so we climbed into the car with the dog and had a fun little day out of the city and by the sea. It was nice to have a bit of sunshine on the coast, compared to the cold and rainy weather of Melbourne.

July Rewind 2014

Friday, 1 August 2014

Hey guys,
I can't believe that it's already August, it feels like this year has gone by so fast. Since it's two days into August I thought I better post y July rewind of my favourite moments from July up.

I was lucky enough to be on holidays for most of July and got to see all my friends and celebrate some big birthdays. I also got to see snow on the slopes on my way back to Melbourne, which was a pretty spectacular sight. But it is also nice to be back and getting back into the swing of uni work.

So here it is.

How cool does that snow look!

And this cake looked amazing and tasted even better!

I hope you guys are all having a great day,
xx Kat

Enjoy the small things.

Friday, 27 June 2014

Hey guys,
So relaxation is a big thing for me whilst I am on holidays and being able to do the things I would be able to do whilst at Uni is really nice. I have been lucky enough to get some warmth and sunshine in winter in Sydney and I plan on taking advantage of every second of it.

Take a couple of minutes out of your day to enjoy the small things.

Hope those of you that are currently on holidays or vacations are enjoying them to their fullest.

Winter beach trip.

Thursday, 26 June 2014

Hey guys,

So being home has been great, I have gotten some much needed relaxation done and have caught up with a few friends I haven't seen in a while.

Two of my friends and I have a tradition of sorts of going to the beach together, no matter the weather. So we managed to get together and do so.

Manly beach is by far my favourite beach in Sydney. Lots of people ask me about Bondi, but I personally prefer Manly. It's not as busy and I feel that it is nicer, so whenever I get the chance I try and go.

Whist the weather was a bit crazy. With it raining one minute and then sunny the next, it was sort of the perfect day to go to the beach. Admittedly we didn't swim, it was too cold for that, we did still enjoy the sand and being in a place that we enjoy visiting.

Yes that's a double rainbow.

It's a fun trip getting to manly, because you get to ride the ferry to get there, a rare occurrence when you live in the middle of the city and nowhere near any ferry docks in both Melbourne and in Sydney.

Even though the day started with rain, Sydney did end up putting on a good weather show, even if it didn't last all day. Beaches are a place that I love going to, so being back home for a while and so close to one was an absolute joy. And the company wasn't bad either.

Summer to do list.

Saturday, 16 November 2013

Hey everyone,

So for us Australian people summer is just around the corner, even thought the weather in Sydney would say otherwise, and I can wait. Whilst I do love winter, summer is also a season I love very much. It means I get to just hop in the car and go to the beach, and spend warm nights out with my friends. But I wanted to come up with a list of things to do this summer. Things that would give me some adventure and a refreshing view on things. So here are a few things on my list.

1. Go to a new place.
2. Go on a grand adventure with one, or more, friends.
3. Discover a new beach that I haven't been to before.
4. Try something new(whether it be food, activity or a new skill)
5. Redecorate my room.
6. Wander around the place I grew up in and discover new things about it.
7. Visit places I haven't been to in a long time/places I used to love as a kid.
8. Road trip somewhere(anywhere)
9. Make the most out of the sunshine.
10. Catch up with friends that I haven't seen in a long time.
11. Take every opportunity I am offered.
12. Make a list of places I would like to go to, that I have never been to before, and go to them.
13. Hop on a train and go somewhere.

So I hope to make this summer memorable and I hope I get to share it with all of you. I hope that I spend my time adventuring and not sitting around with nothing to do. I can't wait for what ever comes next, but I hope its fun and full of things I enjoy.

Until next time,
xx Kat
