Easter long weekend

Thursday, 31 March 2016

I hope everyone had a great easter, and for those who don't celebrate just a great weekend in general. I had the pleasure of celebrating easter with my roommate, at her family farm.

It was strange for me. This is the first time in my 22 years of life that I haven't spent the easter weekend with my own family. But the year heading back to Sydney just seemed like an inconvenience as it's rather early on in the semester and such.

I got to do something that I haven't yet done here in Melbourne, which was catch the train to get to her place. Coming from Sydney I am more accustom to catching trains, but here in Melbourne the trams make travelling so much easier, in my opinion.

I spent the weekend offline, away from the internet and out of reception mostly. In the fresh air and away from the city.

I also had the joy of cuddling a puppy for the weekend, something I miss doing since I'm not at home and away from work.

I hope you all had good Easters.

Belated Easter weekend fun.

Monday, 13 April 2015

I had the luck of being able to go home for a week at Easter and spend the wonderful Easter weekend with my family, and also celebrate my lovely Mum's birthday.

Unfortunately since then I have been swamped with university assignment being due, so I haven't had the time to share my lovely weekend with you guys. So I thought better late than never that I would share with you some moments and pictures of my fun filled Easter weekend.

Waiting by the door.

I was lucky enough to spend my Easter break at home with my family and my gorgeous puppy. I was also lucky enough to spend Easter Sunday with my family, as we all celebrated Easter and my Mum's birthday.

We stopped by some falls on the way down, to let the dog have a toilet break, and I had a little wonder around and enjoyed the environment and natural beauty of the falls and even the surrounding landscape.

My heart.

We then spent the rest of the weekend eating food (mostly chocolate of course) and spending time with the people we love.

I did get the remainder of the week off, but by the end of the long weekend I was stressing about the assignments I had to do, one of which I am now procrastinating on writing this blog post.

What was the best part about your Easter long weekend, if you celebrate it?

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.

Something about summer.

Sunday, 21 December 2014

Hey guys,
We have finally reached the summer months here in Australia. Whilst some people in the world get to celebrate christmas with weather that complements the festiveness, we celebrate the time of year in the warmth.

Now to be fair I can't complain, I have only experienced one 'white christmas', but even that wasn't quite the same as some of the picturesque scenes that one see around this time of year. So I don't really have anything to compare it with. I do still enjoy being able to be in the warmth and even though we miss out on some cool christmas things(christmas jumpers), I think it would be weird to spend christmas any other way to me.

So whilst some of you might be wishing for warmer weather I thought I might share some summer photos that I took on a hike, with my wonderful puppy.

I hope you guys are having a wonderful time wherever in the world you are. And that you are enjoying the weather.

xx Kat
