It's a new year.

Monday, 11 January 2016

Holy crap, it's a new year. I can hardly believe that 2015 has ended and 2016 has begun. I know I am a little slow on the new years post, but I just needed to get myself to sit down and write this out.

In a way I am glad that 2015 is over. It means that all the bad things that happened last year can be washed away and all the good times can be remember fondly. Its also a time for change and to begin being a new person, to better myself.

So in the idea of changing for a new year, and bettering oneself, I thought I would share some of my goals for the new year with you all.

1. Read more new books
2. Say YES to more opportunities
3. Write more/blog more
4. Learn to enjoy life for the little things and appreciate them
5. Be more creative in everything I do
6. Make healthier life choices for myself
7. See more of the world
8. Try something new every week
9. Learn new and interesting things
10. Be positive

Hopefully I will be able to stick to these and make life more enjoyable and fun for myself as the year goes on.

This year is a rather important one for me. It is my last year of university (yikes) and that means that I need to get myself organised and figure out what I am going to do with myself when I leave the comfort of university. Creating and finding opportunities for myself and my future. Which is an idea that scares me more than I sometimes would like to admit.

I also plan on making some changes here, and I know thats not the first time I have said that, but this time I plan on keeping that promise. I have a couple of regular post ideas that I would like to start doing monthly and sometimes even more often than that. Things that I want to be able to keep up and continue on as the months go by. In the aim of furthering this blog a little.

I want to be able to share  more exciting things with you guys this year, and getting myself more out there.

I hope you guys are ready for what lies ahead, and I hope that the year that lies ahead of us, is an exciting one at that.

xx Kat

Hello 2015!

Thursday, 8 January 2015

I know I am late on the goals of 2015 blog post, since nearly every blog I read, has already done this post, but I figured I would finally sit down and write this.

I spent countless hours trying to come up with a bunch of goals that I would like to attempt to achieve this coming year, and thought I would share some of them with you.

So here is my list of 2015 goals.

1. Be healthier. Because I seriously need to eat better food and exercise more.
2. Say yes to more things.
3. Keep hydrated.
4. Read more books.
5. Work hard. At Uni and just generally at everything else.
6. Going with number 2, try new things.
7. Explore new places.
8. Just enjoy life more.
9. Post at least once a week, if not more.

i never in the past have really stuck to my goals or resolutions, so this year I am going to try harder and actually put more effort into them.

What are some of your goals for the new year??

2014 rewind.

Monday, 5 January 2015

So I know that it is already almost a week into 2015 and that this post is a little later than I originally wanted it to be, but it is still here. I haven't quite fathomed that 2014 is over and that a new year has started. So before I got into 2015 related things I wanted to remember some of the good times that I have had in the crazy year that has just passed.

2014 was a crazy year for me. I finally pushed myself out of my comfort zone and did something I never thought I would have the courage to do.

I moved states and went to University. Two ideas that would have seemed farfetched to me only a year earlier. I took a flying leap at change and came out the other side happy with my choices and with the grand decisions I had made.

I got to experience a ton of new things and create memories with new friends. I also met some amazing new people and had a blast getting to know them.

I also created new and amazing memories with old friends, joy filled moments in time, in which I was surrounded by people who I love. These small moments that I got to spend with them, made the moments I was at home, fun.

My sense of adventure got a huge kick and I allowed myself to see new things and explore new places. Finding new things in old places or just plane new things in new places. I took more chances to find and discover those things.

So with 2014 having come to an end I can say that this year has been one of the best so far. I am so grateful for the new and old friends in my life, for the new and exciting adventures and for taking a huge, life changing, chance.

I hope everyone had a good 2014, a good new year and that 2015 brings on bigger and better things for each and every one of you.

Happy New Year

2013: A review

Wednesday, 1 January 2014

Hey guys,
So I know I am a little late on the farewell of 2013 here on my blog, but I have been away and without a computer to use.
So here is my look back at 2013.

Firstly 2013 was a pretty good year to me. I studied for most of it and got to share some amazing moments with friends and family. I learnt new things about myself and new things in the areas I was studying. I also got to do some amazing things and have some amazing experiences with the people around me, who I wouldn't have had fun without.
Here are a few of my favorite moments of 2013:
-Going to Fiji with my best friend of 18 years
- Getting accepted into university after a three year break from full time studying.
- Seeing Taylor Swift in concert, as a birthday present.
- Buying myself a Canon 600D
- Performing on stage with my good friends on two occasions, one being music and one being a musical.

I hope 2014 will be as awesome as 2013 was. Here are some photos from the past year, which I hope never to forget.

Goodbye 2013.
You were good to me. Lets hope 2014 is just as good.

Going country, Christmas, Roadtrip, New years.

Hey guys,
So due to my being busy for the past two weeks straight, I have a hefty amount of things to write about. There will be three blog posts about the end of 2013, which I will need to get out of the way.
Also happy new years and welcome to 2014, I hope this year is a good one to you.

December was a bit of a hectic month for me. I went away three times, and in between those times I had a packed schedule. full of birthdays and Christmas celebrations. So this is to discus those.
So lets get started.

GOING COUNRTY.
This year, just before Christmas, I got to spend some time with my Dad, and his side of the family. They live on a farm about eight/nine hours away from me, so I don't get to see them all that often. But I got to spend six days with them before Christmas, so I could celebrate with them.
I do enjoy visiting them, considering they live on a farm and I get to be amongst their cattle, and even got to help them hand feed one of their calves.
Another thing I enjoy about going up there is that it's relaxing and away from the busyness of the city.

CHRISTMAS.
After flying home on Christmas eve, eve. We drove to Christmas eve at a member of my Mum's side of the family. A tradition that has taken place since before I was born, I got to see a couple of my cousins that I haven't seen in a long time (two of which have recently come back from living on the UK)
Christmas eve was followed by Christmas day lunch at my Aunts, down the coast. And boxing day up the mountains, seeing different parts of the family in each place.
All around it was a good a Christmas 'week'.

ROADTRIP/NEW YEARS.
This year for new years eve, I decided I wanted to get out of the city for new years eve. Sydney gets very busy, so its nice to get away from it all every now and then.
So me and a friend hoped in the car and headed down the coast, and back to my aunts house. They live five minutes from the beach and live in a little community, far from the bity city lights of Sydney. We got to spend five days there, relaxing in the sun, swimming at the beach and bringing in the new year with my family and down on the beach.
I don't regret getting out of the city for the new year.
We also got to see some on the local sightseeing spots. including the sea bridge, which is a new bridge built in replacement of an old one, that kept getting stuck in rock fall. and the abandoned train tunnel, that used to house the train line.

So that was my holiday season. I hope you all had a good holiday season and have a great start to 2014.

xx Kat
