Bowling adventures.

Friday, 27 March 2015

I strongly believe that having a little fun every now and then make life a little bit better. So when a couple of my friends decided to go bowling I was instantly excited and said yes.

I got to explore a new part of the city, and got to go on my own little adventure along the way. That does include going into H&M and getting a little bit side tracked by the three levels of the store and all of the clothes.

I don't get to spend too much time in the city, as where I am living is a little bit further out, but I always find that I experience and discover new things each time I go in.

I found myself getting lost in the wonder of the inside of this building.

I didn't realise this was blurry at first, but I actually kind of like it being that way.
Days like these makes my days off from uni fun and exciting. I hope everyone has had a good week.

What are some of you favourite fun activities to do with friends?

A crazy week and a half.

Thursday, 19 March 2015

This past week and a half has been a crazy one.

Starting back at uni has me already drowning in readings and work, even though it is now only my second week back. I already feel behind, even though I can't honestly be that far behind.

I am a bit behind on my posts. I have a small list of things that I want to blog about, but I just seem to be running out of free time. Every moment feels like it is accounted for, and that any small moments left aside are for rest of to feed myself.

This weekend I plan to sit down and get out a couple of the blog posts I have been meaning to write over the past week and a half. I am going to dedicate time to writing them out and completing them. Catching up on a few days that I have missed.

Not only has my life been consumed with classes and class work, but also other out of class activities, like my dorm floors events and sporting games, as well as catching up with all of the people I didn't get to see over the summer.

Now I will be getting back into the swing of things, organising my time a little bit better and fitting in the things that I wan't to do, along with those that I need to do.

I hope you all are having a good week.

The Things That Make Me Happy.

Friday, 6 March 2015

Sometimes everyone needs a little pick me up, so today I thought I would write you guys a list of things that make me feel happy. Considering that today I am feeling a little low, I am hoping that this also brightens up my own day.

-The smell and sound of rain.
- Cute animals.
- Curling up under a big cozy blanket and reading.
- Hot cups of tea.
- Lists.
- Mango gelato.
- Walking in the rain.
- Pillow forts.
- Wandering aimlessly.
- Christmas socks.
- Craft.
- Watching the rain from my window.
- Trying new recipes.
- Endless hours on pintrest.
- Listening to podcasts while doing work.
- That feeling when inspiration strikes.

What are some of the things that make you happy??

Week 1: Year 2

Sunday, 1 March 2015

Today comes a post that I posted this time last year. I thought I would continue on the tradition and make a second year version of the post.

Today officially marks the last day, of my first week back on campus and back at uni. Whilst I haven't actually started classes yet, I have moved back onto campus and back into my room with a slew of new roommates.

Unlike last year, I actually don't have a picture of my new roommates and me yet. But hopefully one will come soon.

This year I am a returner, a second year and someone who knows my way around (even though I still don't know my own way around). I got to sit out and watch the activities that were made for the first years, things like obstacle courses and other fun things. All things in which I had to go through in my first year.

I have been reunited with friends who I haven't seen since last year and am back in my home away from home. Moving my way around a place that has become recognisable and familiar.

It has been a new chance to meet new people and catch up with friends who I have missed.

I hope that those of you who have returned to uni recently are having a blast, and that you have been enjoying your O'Weeks.

February 2015 Rewind.

Friday, 27 February 2015

Somehow I managed to miss a January rewind, which I had planned to do and only just realised I never did. But never mind that now, February is ending and I figured I would just skip a month and do Feb's rewind now.

Starting off with recently, I left Sydney and road tripped my way back towards Melbourne and my University studies. including moving back onto campus and meeting my new roommates.

Signs are fun sometimes.

Before leaving I got to spend a lovely three days with one of my best friends, relaxing, having fun and eating good food. Also us trying new coffee places, an obsession of both of ours.

I also got one last chance to spend some time with my favourite dogs at the shelter I worked at over the summer, saying goodbye to them. This was also a fun day out with my bestie, and it was a brilliant day in the sun.

The rest of February was filled with working hard at my summer job and enjoying the sunshine on my days off.

With today being the 28th of February its the last day of summer in Australia, meaning that winter is coming along soon. But with winter comes to cozying up and watching the rain.

I hope all of you have had a good summer (or winter).

Let me know what your favourite memory has been over the past season (whichever you have just had).

Melbourne road trip: day 2

Monday, 23 February 2015

After a fairly good nights sleep we ventured out to find some coffee and headed back on the road.

This time I was driving, so there aren't as many photos as I wasn't able to take them myself and I am quite picky when it comes to what deserves to get a photo taken of.

Once we finally arrived in Melbourne we went and had dinner with some family friends in the Williamstown Botanic Gardens, a beautiful seaside garden. Which was a nice way to end the long two day drive.

Now onto the next stage of craziness, preparing myself for my second year at university.

Melbourne road trip: day 1

Saturday, 21 February 2015

Firstly let me apologise for the lack of blog posts over the past two weeks, life has been crazy busy, in preparation for my migration back down south for uni. I have been crazily packing and trying to finalise everything that I wanted to do before I headed back, that time over the past couple of weeks has just slipped past me so fast.

With me having gotten my first car this summer, I got the chance to road trip back down to uni, with a car full of stuff. I decided to do the trip along the coast, and take two days, instead of going inland and taking the shorter trip.

Also sorry for any marks across the pictures, like in the one bellow, my cars windshield got quite dirty, even though we cleaned it a couple of time along the way.

Tons of places had these really cool old school sandstone buildings.

Crossing over state lines

The drive might have been long, but it was worth it seeing all of these really unique country towns and beautiful seaside villages.

Day 2 will be coming soon, but for now I need some rest and time to relax before I get ready for the next couple of days of crazy that lay ahead.
